The opening painting is Dr Gachet, Paul Gachet. That painting was done in
couple of hours, which is extremely fast. Anyone familiar with oil painting
knows that oil painting takes days to finish. If you ever get a chance to
see a close up of the painting, you could find unpainted canvas between the
sleeves. He painted this so fast without putting on the base color.
Love Van Gogh so much, not just his paintings, also he himself as a human,
who is loving, kind,passionate and dedicated. CBS has a new book/DVD about
his death, I guess new evidences show that he was actually murdered, instead
of suicide. Even he had epilepsy, the time of his death eas the prime time
of his career.
He liked painting friends and families. MoMA has Joseph Roulin painting, he
was a postman. I was 12 inches away from it. I love love the color and his
expression. His babe is Marcelle, her portrait is in the YouTube video as
well.
