same properly grounded power strip or power strips connected to neighboring
power outlets. If that does not help, diagnose and find out which component
is causing the noise. Use audio transformers to isolate the offensive
component(s) from the rest of the system. Now you will have a perfect system
without any grounding issues. |

我看有一个方法是用一个2-pin AC adaptor加在 AC cord(三相插头） 上， 让ground
float。。
不知这样的效果和你上面提到的有什么区别。 |

发帖数: 2663 | 7 Floating your AC or signal groud is not recommended. You need to nail down
the exact component that is causing the problem. Here's a link to a basic
tutorial (It's well written but I have not used the product they recommend.
So read with caution),

Then you put audio transformers inline between the offensive component and
the rest of the system (one at the input, one at the output).

re-soldering the XLR connectors.

speaker是不是也humm啊。然后光加一个amp，没有音源，一点一点从后往前试，这humm
的音源是哪里出来的。

发帖数: 802 | 10 Thanks all for your helpful input. I will check it tonight and report the
results later. At the beginning, i thought it may be due to aging
of tubes. But I didn't see much difference after I switched tubes
between left/right channel. |

发帖数: 802 | 11 问题还是没有解决：Hum sound is still there.
1) tried to simply float ground of AC cable --> Fail
2) tried to disconnect all components (CD player,Turntable ..) from
amplifier and test only amplifier and speakers ---> Fail
Tried to use a pair of headphone, Hum sound can be heard
from bother channels.
Looks like problem is coming from amplifier itself.
Any idea? Thanks |
