this speakers are really good for movies.. only so so when listening to
music.. still $1000 is too cheap.. a pair of used 805 would cost more than

the company got big, now the product design in B&W is all about filling a
particular market segment at a particular price range. it's no longer about
sound. it's more about the look and what the average consumer want, that is
something looking nice in the living room, playing pleasant background music
and occassional movie watching...
it is not that B&W is not able to make good speakers, but it has different
objective now... It needs a sound style that's big and bold, so an average
shopper with no particular musical expereince would be impressed in 5 mins
at the store. this type of sound is actually good for movie watching...
B&W is pretty much like a "Rolex" in the watch world... a Lang Lang in the
classical music world, and a Jennifer Lopez in the popular music world..
nevermind professional reviews... they are mostly on the payrolls of big
companies such as B&W.. not worthy of using as reference...
