if your bluray player supports 3d and has two hdmi outputs,like oppo players,
then one hdmi sends audio to receiver and the other hdmi sends video to
projector or tv.
in the case,receiver doesnt need to be 3d compatible.
downside is you cant use receiver to switch to different video input sources.
so it is good only if you just have one video source like bluray player.
