coach of the Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings, but he's ready for the
challenge.
Lewis, the team's assistant coach, was chosen to replace Scotty Bowman as the
club's new bench boss on Wednesday.
Bowman retired immediately after leading the Red Wings to their third Stanley
Cup title in six years this past spring. In total, Bowman won a record nine
NHL championships.
