根据D， 好像是不可以逾期滞留， 但是根据F,只要是公民亲属（包括父母）申请， 又
可以排除在这个逾期的要求之外。 另外F里面那个分号是 and 还是 or 的意思？ |

不用纠结 F 到底啥意思了。我估计是 父母来之前你就已经是 公民了才行。
如果这样可行的话， 那么多 让父母过来带孩子的就不用再担心他们签证的问题了。
放大些说，假设你F1的时候，父母就来了，然后签证过期，但还一直在这。
直到10年后你 拿到绿卡，转成了公民。 你认为还可以 给 一直滞期停留 这么久的父
母 申请绿卡么？

her green card after her daughter became citizen.

发帖数: 193 | 5 这是律师的回答。 好像legally是可以的， 但是逾期期间如果遇上移民局， 有可能会
被遣返。
It is not recommended so that your parents overstay. If they encounter
immigration officer any time during the overstay in the US before you can
apply for them, they will be deported and may not come back to US for many
years. Even though legally for parents of a citizen they may be exempted of
the status issue, that depends on a lot of luck if they do not encounter
the immigration agency. Also, there are other legal consequences such as
bar for reenter in some circumstance. |

技术上实际是可以的。但黑的期间他们不能回国，不能生病，不怕被遣返，只要能熬到
你公民，他们就能拿绿卡。万一中间被发现，就可能10年不能来了。
问题是为什么要这样做呢？按规矩做不好吗？现在签证那么方便，就麻烦他们多跑两次
吧。
