firm and the owner told me that he won't revoke my H1B work visa if it's
going to help me. He is still going to pay corporate tax and keep the
company "alive", but will close the operation.
My question is, if he doesn't report, will the Immigration Office know that
I am out of status? What does it mean by "paying corporate tax"? He said
that means "the company is still a going concern as far as all the legal

a no pay leave since the company does still exist. i don't know how long you
can stay on this no-pay leave, better check with a lawyer

status. However, you must know that when you find new job and want to
transfer your H1b to that new company, you have to show your pay stub for
the last three months. Your nightmare will come then, but not now.
