To ask USCIS about your case, call the National Customer Service Center (
NCSC) at (800) 375-5283. You'll need your receipt number and if you have one
, your alien registration number (your "A" number).
You'll want to have a pen handy so you can write down the name and/or ID
number of the NCSC representative who takes your call, the date and time of
the call, and - if the agent gives you one - a request referral number.
