I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at NYU Medical school! Our immigration
specialist told me that I can apply EB1B with the title of Postdoc. I
remember only with the permanent title such as research staff can apply
EB1B, which confuse me ! Does anyone know it

"Yes, the green card category we talked about is EB1(b) Outstanding
Researcher. The title of Postdoctoral Fellow does make you eligible to
apply under this category. There would be no need to change your title to
proceed with the application. "

letter from your chair (let your boss help). Assure with your chair that you
will pay the petition fee. Take the letter to HR, and they will agree.

postdoc title if your Chairman supports you. However, you must change your
title to a permanent job before you get your GC.

1. in NYU medical center, we have someone (postdoc fellow) who got EB1b
approved. of course, my case is still pending.
2. we have a print-out sheet, some policy stuff, saying clearly that in
NYUMC, postdoc fellow is qualified to apply EB1b. |
