However, the quarterly Top 25 hottest articles published over 10 years. For
example, October to December top 25 hottest articles in one journal, they
published range from 1999 to 2009 and mine published in 2008.

I think if that was "hot" just for 3 months, that means that your paper
catches more attentions for 3 months only. But if you have a record showing
that your paper was one of hottest during an academic year, that would be
very impressive.

October to December 2010. NO.5 is published in 2000. most of others are
published in 2010.
It seems they count all 10 years publications(from 2000 to 2010)

". If your paper is there, then you can tell how hot your paper is and that
does contribute significantly to your research community......
