半年派我回国内工作半年，今天和公司的律师谈，公司的律师和我说一旦拿到绿卡，我
就必须呆在美国至少半年，然后我这种情况如果回国会让绿卡失效。请问是这样的么？
因为我知道拿到绿卡可以最多1年里面离开半年，难道我不能第一天拿到，然后回国工
作半年，然后回来？还是给拿到后在美国呆半年才能去别的地方？

r status should be safe. So if you could maintain your job (job description,
job title, etc.), you should be fine.
Remember, applying GC is a long way to go. You may take a few months to prep
are your evidences. After you send all your stuffs to your lawyer, he/she ma
y take a few months to file 140. After 140 filed, it may take several months
, sometimes one year, to get the approval. Then you maybe need one month or
so to file 485. Finally, after another 3 or more months, you may get your GC
. I believe, you should come back from China already. :)
