但是老板觉得让学校出永久职位证明会比较困难。
请问能不能找个符合条件的企业代挂，出具永久性职位证明呢？
似乎有个矛盾是J1好像是不能在企业里面工作？ | l******x

s not a contract job, it's without definite ending time, etc. Some post-docs
got green cards through EB1B, and there can be some room for such
manipulation.
BTW, I think that J visa needs waiver first. Correct me if I am wrong.

interview the applicant's office after the green card is issued. Never try
fraudulent things. It's not worth it. | T*******y

during 485 pending, rather than after 485 is approved. Either way, it may
happen.

Yes, you are right. For a J1 visa, the waive is neccessary. I need to do
that soon. My boss doesn't know too much about how to ask the university to
issue me such an offer letter.He thougt it would be hard. I will try to
contact the ISO to see how hard it would be. It might not be that hard. But
at this time, my boss prefers to look for some companies for some help,
because he think it might be easier for him. It seems to me that the
permenant position is the most important thing. So my question is, if my
boss can get any qualified company to issue me a "permenant position", can I
go for the Eb1b with it?
I saw that the J1 visa is allowed to work in companies in some specific
cases.Is there anybody or did you heart anybody success by doing this?
It is ture that this is somehow cheating, but my boss think the postdoc
position is not a permanent position,so anyway, we have to play with these
rules. Thanks so much, I know it would be better if I can get a support from
the university.

about that tone. I understand that we are just laying out our options.
If your boss can sponsor you through a company, namely, he sends funds over
to that company as a collaboration, and that company pays you, so you are an
employee of that company, then that's of course a viable route.
The EB1B sponsoring requirement on the company is that it needs to have at
least 3 full time researchers. That's the minimum.
