I saw a post on this board that he has talked a lot about one of his 3rd-
authored papers, and his case was approved.
I have the same question before. I have worked on quite different projects
before, and I plan to claim my area as the underneath techniques with
different applications.
Also, as always, the fact that your third-authored paper is well cited can
be helpful, the way you present it is equally, if not more, important.
Otherwise it may hurt your case.
