One professor wrote:
"The major significance of this manuscript was that XXX gene upregulates YYY
, member of the inhibitor of apoptosis family, expression. Therefore, the
imbalance of increased anti-apoptosis and decreased pro-apoptosis seen in
HCC is a critical mechanism leading to the uncontrolled growth of tumour
cells."
My attorney read it and said "These statements are helpful only if they
describe how they used your work or its impact on the field. Please go back
in the letter and have Dr. Park explain in 2-3 sentences how he or she used
your work. "
Any one here would help me with examples showing the impact of a work on the
field?

如果是脚标，没提你的名字，那么他是不是愿意在推荐信里写，在你的工作基础上研究
出什么新技术，新成果，或者至少受到你的启发作出什么新东西，或者说你的工作对他
们有啥指导意义之类的，实在不行他们是不是用你的结果来解释了自己的东西。。。就
这类话呗

It's a review paper which cited our paper. But I could ask whether there is
any impact on his work.

发帖数: 2520 | 4 一般的引用让他自己说有什么意义也很难。比如我们自己写文章也只是想找些支持自己
论据的。其实也未必是觉得别人的文章有多大意义。所以最好在找他之前，想一下怎么
解释自己工作的意义。说是绿卡用途，一般不太死板的人，都直接按你写的写了。除非
他有什么更好的想法。 |
