LD's RD 5/23, routed to NSC from the Dallas Lockbox
I just called USCIS and asked to speak to a level-2 officer. The officer told me
that my case is Pre-adjudication on Sept 28.
Then I pass the phone to my LD and let him speak to the officer, his case is
at the same status.
Does anyone know if Pre-adjudication means approval soon??
A few months ago, many April cases were approved but the Jan. and Feb cases
were not touched. an ID on this board whose 485 was RD in Feb,has a friend
who works in a congressman office, got insider information and told us when
the USCIS will start to work on the Feb cases. His/her case was approved
soon after being assigned to an officer.

怎么能够确切地知道自己的 I-485 有没有在被处理？
前面提到的 RFE 就是很明显的信号。
除了 RFE, 还有 LUD.
你必须在 USCIS 注册了帐号，还得 login 进去看才行。虽然 status 显示的还是
旧的 message, 但 I-485 日期的最近更新，意味着你的申请在被人动。有的时候，你
的 I-140，你过去八百年前的 I-129/I-539 etc 也有日期的更新，亦是同理。
还有，你电话去移民局，接电话的告诉你，I-485 正在 "in review", "assigned
to an IO" 或 "with a supervisor" etc, 也表明这个意思。
对于被处理的 I-485 来说，没有 RFE 就是好消息。虽然排期不到不能批，但处理完了
之后一旦排期当前就随时都可以批了。

has it ever changed?
My LD's still remain the same status since June, "initial review", and the
latest update date is in june.
Actucally I never seen those status change other mentioned, such as "touch",
and LUD change. | s*******t

If the officer is not nice and won't let him do SR. call again later and
hopefully will reach a nicer officer

assigned.

From what I have seen in other forums or law sites, pre-adjudication is the
process of continuing to review a case and getting it "very close to
approval", especially during times when Visa numbers are retrogressed. What
this means (as I have understood it) is that your GC should be approved as
soon as your date becomes current again!!! So, happy days may be around the
corner for you. Your PD seems to be pretty old, so this is not at all
surprising. --QSS

Last time I called, no 485 expedite was allowed at NSC.
