Explanation Letter For Advance Parole Application
Dear USCIS Officer,
My name is ***. As the primary applicant, my I-140 immigration petition
for EB-1A has been approved. And I have applied for the I-485 Application to
Adjustment of Status(Received: ？？？). While the I-485 application is
pending before approval, I would have to undertake travel abroad to People’
s Republic of China in order to visit my elderly parents and my close
relatives during the upcoming 2013. I will return to the United States to
pursue my Adjustment Of Status after temporary foreign travels.
For this reason, I respectfully request that you grant my request for an
advance parole valid for multiple entries for as long as possible under your
current guidelines.

这个信需要在checklist上单独列出来么？我看了网上几个485 cover letter或者
checklist都没有看到这封信啊。。
还是作为131表格的一部分附在131后面就可以了？

发帖数: 2234 | 4 actually, the 485 application and 131 application are independent to each
other. HOWEVER, you can file them together in the same package to the same
IO who is in charge of 485 case. they will take care of your 131 application
soon.
usually, you better to mention the 486+EAD+AP all in the cover letter as
well as the checklists. SO, better to put this Explanation Letter in the
checklist |

如果我把三沓材料(485, 131, 765)放在一个大信封里，每个又分别夹好，那是不是同
一个IO都审理了？？？。。。
实在觉得，都是重复材料。尤其是131和765，完全一样的list...不都放上把，又觉得
万一被3个io分开看，岂不是材料不齐全了又？？？

U can file 458+131+765 together to the address where 485 would go. However,
IO will forward your 131+765 to another department to process the combo card
issue. I am not 100% sure whether some IO will deal with EAD, others deal
with AP.. if i am correct, then as the applicant, we'd better provide all
requested documents in one application even though lots of the documents are
the same.
Your job is simply just print them out and put them in the file. NO trouble
at all. Otherwise, you will waist time and money if IO charge you of RFE for
more supporting documents.
