From reading your article titled “XXXXXXXXXXX", I’ve learned about your
research related to plasma proteome and biomarker identification. GenWay
Biotech now offers a unique sample-preparation solution to further reduce
the dynamic range of plasma for detecting the low-abundant proteins (LAP),
including cellular and tissue leakage proteins. By utilizing GenWay’s
SuperMix column coupled with Beckman Coulter’s ProteomeLab-IgY12,
our new system can effectively remove the highly-abundant proteins (HAP)
and separate the next concentration level of moderately abundant proteins (
MAP) from LAP.
SuperMix is an IgY-affinity column that enables one-step specific separation
for identification of hundreds of MAP and LAP. In a Case Study, using
GenWay’s SuperMix column coupled with SDS-PAGE and LC/MS-MS, within 7 days,
total 923 proteins in two fractions were identified with confidence in a
plasma sample equivalent to 50 μl of initial loading. Our sample
preparation approach reduces expensive machine time and man hours to assist
in more effective identification of unknown proteins in plasma samples.
