用。现在联系到一个实验室去做postdoc，老板愿意给H签证。
我跟我家LD是想申请绿卡并且以后留在美国的，可是因为种种原因有点纠结现在该拿H
签证还是J签证。
主要是我在这个实验室只能待大概3年，我感觉自己现在的情况只能申请NIW，可是据我
了解申请NIW的时候是不能换实验室的（如果我理解错误请纠正）。最担心的是H签证只
能拿六年，我如果等到下一份工作的时候再开始申请绿卡就又白白浪费了之前的H签证。
还有一个问题就是我听说在申请绿卡的时候配偶的签证状况也会变但是我不清楚具体情
况，我LD现在是F1签证，如果我开始申请绿卡请问他的情况会变成什么样呢？
求专业人士及有经验的朋友们指点！ |

freely to industry or another lab), after OPT ends change to h1b.
Start your NIW now; later when your case is strong, file EB1 at that time.
No need to worry changing jobs with NIW, you can change whatever jobs as
long as it is broadly in the same field (biological sciences research for
example, you cannot work as an accountant or artist). Also your status has
nothing to do with your LD's status, unless your LD wants to change to a
dependent visa status (H4, F2, etc), or until you file I-485 together with
your LD.
you do not need to worry about the h1b 6-year rule; you should have at least
your NIW i-140 approved before the end of the sixth H1B year (if you have
applied); your H1B can be extended beyond the sixth year on a yearly basis
when you have your i-140 approved. |

OPT afterwards.
Do you mean that I can start my NIW even with an F1 or OPT?
When I file I-485 with my LD, what status should my LD at?
