果申请了combo，拿到ead以后，是不是o1就自动失效？
我理解是提前拿ead好处是半年后跳槽方便，坏处可能是万一被拒，o1也不能用？请高

发帖数: 237 | 2 your O-1 is still valid even if you apply and get a EAD card. You only lose
O-1 once you activate the EAD card.
You can apply for the COMBO card and used it as backup. The purpose of
the combo card is for travel back to China. You can then use AP card to re-
enter US without going to the embassy. In that case, you will automatically
lose the O-1 status and start to use the EAD to work thereafter.
