so, before you have the router, everytime you connect your PC to internet, you
have to type PPPoE username and password?
in that case, you should change your netgears settings too PPPoE connect on
WAN, just like what your PC did before. they should allow you conifigure PPPoE

the very first picture. the very first question:
does your internet connection require a login?
if you select yes, it shall lead you to configure the PPPoE.
but that's irrelevant here, because you said you didn't have to use
user/password even before using the router. that sounds to me that your DSL

Let me make it a little bit more clear about this.
1. Using PC => DSL Modem with PPPoE mode
the DSL modem has the username/password to connect the Internet;
2. Using PC => Netgear Router (no mode to be able to select) => DSL modem with
Bridge mode
the Router has the username/password to talk to the DSL modem, then c |
