SPY (AMEX)是ETF 还是mutal fund 呀, 用不用交maintenance fee 呀. Vanguard 的SP
500 index 好像不错, 但是要交0.15%的fee, 不知道SPY会不会也要交fee 呀?

1. Roth IRA contribution has 5-yr restriction to distribute w/o any penalty.
10% otherwise. You are right gain is tax free.
2. SPY is ETF. No maintenance fee but you need to pay commission to trade it
. I still encourage you to buy SPY since it's much more flexible than index
MF.
