apply for home mortgage alone.
Method:
1) The one with higher income between the couple applys for all
the loans, including the home mortgage.
2) He/she then transfer all his/her money to the spouse's
individual bank account. Close all joint accounts. Sell all or

What happens to debt when someone dies
If a spouse passes away leaving debt only in their name, their spouse is not
at all obligated to pay the debt. However, if the debt is on a credit card

If you live in a community property state the wife of the deceased will
automatically become liable for all debts of the deceased. It will then be
the wife's responsibility to pay all debts. In community property states,
all income and debts are considered equal property of a husband and a wife.

mortgage by definition is secured by the property. if the debt is
not paid satifactorily, the lender will go after the property.

account ah.
Always keep a very low equity in the home. Until one day suddenly
pay off everything by cash, hehe. (Lose the home-made term life
insurance at the same time, coz rich enough and no need to have
insurance any more.)
