indicates he has not yet lost his edge too much as the AUM grows, I mean,
explode. But I will be quite cautious to buy into this fund, or any equity
fund for that matter right now. In the long term, I think FAIRX will
outperform, but not as good as before because it has a pretty large AUM
right now, so it won't be as nimble.
As a shareholder, I hate Bruce kept this fund open at such a large AUM level. So I would discourage | V***r

发帖数: 106 | 5 t is a good fund that uses value investing method.
It does not beat S&P every year (eg, 2003).
Its performance is above average in bull market and excellent in bear market
or flat market.
Its long term return is excellent and steady.
The problem is that it is too large now so the future return may be
less.
I also recommend another one: YACKX.
Its 10-year return is comparable to FAIRX.
I have both funds.

请问大家都是在哪里查这些mutual fund的 tax efficiency 呀？

I use www.schwab.com to check tax efficiency.
It is free and you do not need to have account there.
Go to "Research & Strategies", then "Mutual Fund".
Enter the fund name, on the "Risk & Tax Analysis" page, there is
pre-tax and after-tax return.
You can also check other info like redemption fee.
It is very useful.
