Did some readings recently, it seems to me mid-cap is not recommended.
Growth funds are not recommended. Favorable stock funds are large cap blend\
value and small cap blend\value. Half-half domestic and international stock
funds. Favorable bonds are short term and intermediate term bonds.
So if the stock and bond ratios are
Stock A%
Bond 100%-A%
then a simple portfolio would look like below
For stock funds:
Large cap blend A%/4
Large cap value A%/4
Small cap blend A%/4
Small cap value A%/4
International A%/2
For Bonds:
Short term (100%-A%)/2
Intermediate term (100%-A%)/2
