In a play to dominate localized e-commerce and the Web, Microsoft Inc has
decided to offer
Groupon for $18 billion. A 145% preimum to Groupon's closing price
on Friday.
That's a stunning sum for the eight-year old company. But Groupon has been
able to hold its weight against e-commerce heavyweights like Amazon (AMZN),
Google (GOOG, Fortune 500) and Ebay (Ebay, Fortune 500) Groupon has upwards
of 450 million users, and it is adding an additional million users every
