低，收益有所保证，起码比定期存款的利息高。银行像我推荐了mutual funds. 后来
chase 的一个 financial advisor 向我推荐了两种fund ，一种american fund,一种
income fund.他说mutual fund的风险只有股市的1/7，而且收益不是太低，一万美元，
每年收益4000美元左右。真有这么高吗？我看了版上的关于mutual fund的介绍，感觉
还有些迷糊。本人时下并不打算盲目投资。想学习学习。他给我介绍的， income fund
and american fund 占70%和30%。具体哪个占多少，我忘了。他给我开了一个chase
investment 的账号。us news 也对各种 fund 做了排名。

我想问一下有了investment 的账户，这些mutual fund 是不是自己想买哪个就买哪个？
还有，哪里去了解mutual fund 的知识呢？哪里有书什么的？
还有，是不是mutual fund 真的风险小，一般一年以后 money 都有所 grow, 不会赔吗
？一万元入市，4000达不到的话，一年2000的收益能达到吗？达到的概率有多大？赔的
话，赔的概率又有多大？
多谢！本人是新手希望大家多指教。本来去银行想存个cd，得点利息。后来一问金融危
机后cd的利息都下降的离谱。银行的人就向我介绍了mutual fund.大家觉得这靠谱吗？ |

the higher the risk. the higher the return.
if you don't want to learn investing. just dollar cost average to sp500. in
long run. you will do better than any mutual funds.

想让risk尽量低，然后让收益起码高于银行定期存款的利率一倍以上。这很难吗？或者
说没必要？我看了一下，如果要弄mutual funds, 要付commission fee, 如果自己弄是
不是可以不用付这部分fee给financial advisor?还有他已经给我开了一个投资账户，
如果不向里边放钱投资，是不是银行还要收管理费之类的。那不行的话，取消吧。

commission fee 给financial advisor, 而且这笔数目比较大。二是如果搞投资可以免

year in stock market is so so so easy if you want to invest your time to
learn and maybe lose a little bit at the beginning.
higher risk higher return means only means that if you want to make more you
have to risk more. that's it.
but if you want to slow and steady. making 1% a year is nothing.
what kind of investment account you opened?

risky or easy is it to make 8% on mutual fund? comparing stock market and
mutual fund, which one has lower risk for seeking the same return?

anything is possible. but to make 1000 with 50 is not investment. it is
gambling or a sound-better word, speculation. stop trusting those nonsense.
Is that a regular trading account or a retirement account like ira or roth?
start small and steady. once you know more, put more.
nothing is easy especially in the stock market. think about it. you are
completing with hundreds of millions of people in the world for a pool of
money. how smart you are comparing to other to get money from other people's
pockets？

发帖数: 195 | 12 收费高的mf一般都是积极管理，风险大点，可能收益也高点。股票市场本身和mf也不是
一个类型，只能和指数基金比。8%不算回报低了，特别是长期的。你如果对保本那么看
重的话，还不如投蓝筹股的基金，不会大涨也大跌的概率小点。可能手续费也稍微高点
。费用低，回报高，稳健，你最多选一个。运气好，碰上两个，要三个都有，那难了。

don't get discouraged when you lose money. and don't trust financial advisor
too much. they are just like you and me. what they have is just opinions.
no better than yours. think for yourself and put money to where you would
like to.
read some books about charting for when to buy or sell even for long term
investments. that would give you a better entry point.

efficient. Some advisers do not know shit. You need to know enough to tell

投资账户收费--我没用过Chase，但是你提到有Advisor，TA肯定会拿回扣的。可以考虑
跟一个Discount Broker开个户，这样就少个“中间人”的费用。Advisor当然也有价值
，如果你需要，那就保留TA的服务。
投资回报--这个说来话长，风险跟回报是成正比的，但是风险越大的不见得回报就更多
。选择投资需要知道自己的投资目的、时间、风险承受力。这个话题可以读读关于“
Asset Allocation”的贴或者书籍。 |
