I guess I don't have real working experience, so my question
actually is what's the most important part about java, you think,
I should be extremely familiar with. The job is to develop some
tools to analyze data.

based on the job, you probably need to know how to visualize data, so
something about java2D,3D,etc.

| c*****t 发帖数: 1879 | 3 Java3D maybe dead. Sun layed-off/reassigned people in the Java3D
team. They now favors OpenGL again...
Java3D is object-oriented, unlike OpenGL. It makes doing things
such as animation, mouse etc significantly easier. However, OpenGL
stuff seemed to be more popular, easier to implement etc.
In short, don't waste time on Java3D.
As for Java2D, usually knowint Graphics/Graphics2D is good enough.
You probably don't even have to worry about transformations etc.
