Dear F-1 Students:
I'm sure many of you have heard of the new rule that OPT can now be extended
. This is
true but under very specific circumstances only. Below is very specific
information on
how to apply for the new 17 month extension.
Please note that OPT (12 month OPT) application times have changed from 120
days before
completion of studies only to *90 days before completion of study and no
later than 60
days after completion of study. *Also students must, by law, keep in close
contact with
