我credit report的内容好坏。
倒霉事情的起因是07年在南方某州读书的时候，我向某个music store租借乐器学习，
08毕业前我去人家店里还了乐器，并且用银行支票付了款。毕业后我搬到东北部的州找
到工作，原来的银行因为在东北部没有业务也在临走前close掉了。
事隔两年我接到某collection agency来电说那个music store没有查到我付款和return
乐器的record，所以file complaint。第一个联系我的agent态度很恶劣，一口咬定是
我没还，当时我以为哪个骗子骚扰我，在电话上吵了一通，之后没有理睬。过了几个月
的今天第二个不同的collection agency联系我，我才知道事情的严重性。
现在的麻烦事是，过去搬家搬得急，很多bank statement，receipt都当垃圾扔掉了，
所以联系bank也不知道他们还能不能查到我过去paycheck的记录。
因为公司不久就要关门，我现在也是积极找工作的状态，反省一下申请工作的历史，估
计跟我的credit report坏影响不乏关系。
想请教大家，有什么快速的补救法。如果bank能帮我找到过去的record，多快能让对方
drop complaint？如果咬牙认栽，花费700多刀给collection agency，我的credit
report会留下什么样的记录？ |

发帖数: 168 | 5 我读书的时候那个银行regions，只在南部有，搬到东北部前就close掉了，我还很蠢的
把statement啥都丢掉了。
刚打电话联系regions的customer service，因为无法提供账号，SSN也不管用（因为做
学生的时候是用passport开的户），没法调出过往记录。我试着打过去开户银行分行的
电话，还没打通....

collection agency to reduce the amount you'd have to pay, they're always
willing to do that.
I'm not sure how much this actually affected your job hunting prospects
though. Many people have blemishes on their credit report, unless yours
shows a pattern of reckless behaviors (many accounts sent to collection,
delinquency, bankruptcy, foreclosure, etc) it probably won't have a
significant impact on your background check.
Besides, most companies won't conduct background checks until an offer is
made, so unless you got several offers but failed after background checks
were completed, it's highly unlikely that was what's holding you back. |

我申请某些公司，他们让人填的application就明确指出雇主方需要查我的credit
history（consumer report），要我sign on disclosure agreement

background checks on the ones that they're ready to offer/or have already
offered a job-Background checks are not cheap you know.

没有问题。 |

不给我办信用卡，就连Target或者capital one都不给我办，原因说我没有任何信用记
录。手机，房租，电费，都是我的名字。没有信用卡就不能积攒信用，没有信用就不能
申请信用卡，这完全是死锁问题，没辙了，买车都是现金交易。这么说我岂不是牙根找
不到个工作了？ps我都找了一年工作了 |

除非他们明确告诉你是这个原因。
法律规定还必须让你核实他们拿到的report确实无误。

了，那时候credit limit才$150。

card 也无所谓。 |

too.
get the proof of payment is the best solutions. if you use your passport to
open the account, pull the info
using the passport info. also provide the statement address and all those
info, they should be able to find the
info for you. it may cost your time and effort, but if it's something you
are sure you paid already, you should
fight for it.
if you decided to pay the collection instead, which i don't recommend, use
casher's check or money order. in
that case, they will not get your bank account info from your personal check.

I just wanted to state that you interviewed very well for the position
然后不幸的是人家HR没有雇佣H1B持有者的政策...
看来啥credit report都不及H-1B狠

大家都是找过工作的。 没有H1B/绿卡，倒是有可能会影响你拿
到面试的几率。不要像个大妈似的，一点小事就先把自己说得吓死
了。 你要是没付就赶快付，要是已经付了就告诉他已经付了，
想让我付冤枉债，连门都没有，他有本事到法院告去。
