I just got an offer from a company. However, this company doesn't allow
using the OPT to start working right away. The start date is during the
September 2011.The company agrees to apply for H1-B, but it will be
effective from 10/1/2011.
The situation is that my OPT starts from Jan 2011. For the job starting date
in Sep 2011, H1-B (if approved) can't be used yet. That means I have to use
OPT at that time. How can I keep the OPT until September? What should I do?
Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

opt 1/2011开始，至少可以用一年到 1/2012过期
完全可以cover到h1生效。

你是想问关于90天unemployment？
如果是，你找找contract做做，或者volunteer，或者找个肯帮你挂身份的。
再或者可以去问问学校这种情况怎么办，因为不是没offer，而是公司不让那么早上班.

一来赚点小钱，二来简历上也不会有gap，虽然你九月的时候会工作。

that I can't work in Sep using OPT again because of the unemployment for 9
months during OPT. Is it right? Thanks.

发帖数: 6098 | 8 按它的规定，opt中有90 unemployement就算黑了，如果你不工作而等到九月上班，我
估计也算是unemployment，所以前面才建议你去问问学校。
