发帖数: 14021 | 1 上星期一拿到一个offer，要我第二天马上给答复。马上告诉我现在老板，但他们没有
足够的时间做反应，虽然不想我走，但他们当时不能保证什么，还是建议我接受那个
offer。
到了星期五，他们跟HR讨论了，可以给我一个更好的counter offer。希望我留下。
两个公司都是业届里的大公司，两边都有好朋友。这边的朋友说我应该choose what's
the best for you。 哪边的朋友说我应该honor my words。
当时接受offer的时候因为很犹豫，新公司已经给我加了一次工资，还满足了一些其它
的条件。 我不想现在又拿这边的新offer 去讨价还价。
两边的人都很好，很难对任何一边说不。请大家给点建议。 |

以此以偏概全。
我没有这方面的经历，有过精力的不妨现身说法一下哈。

The reason I looked for a new job, was because my team was disassembled, and
there was no plan moving forward. My manager told me to look for a job else
where while they are trying to find a place for me within the company. |

better career path.
The last resort is to flip a coin. :-) |

basically this will give you no other way around...
1) an offer uausally will be valid for at least 48 hours
2) it's completely UP to you when to tell your current manager
The question is:
why won't they give you some time to evaluate? |

发帖数: 14021 | 6 1. they have another candidate in the line. if I dont take it, they will give the
offer to the other candidate right away.
2. they want me or whoever accept the offer to start asap. But they are willing to wait two more weeks for me because I have to go back to China to see my Grandma who was in critical condition. I appreciate it.
They were actually very quick making the decision. They interviewed me the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Wednesday the recruiter told me they liked me a lot, and asked me if they give me the offer, will I accept it? Of course I had to say yes.
Thursday and Friday were holidays. The next Monday, recruiter told me they had given me the offer, and expected my decision Tuesday.
I am not sure how much pressure was actually coming from the recruiter.

1) Take the money side when everything else is the same.
2) There is no such thing that you eat your word, accepting a counter offer is common for professionals. |
