Primary Location : US-AZ-Tempe (AZ34)
Job : System Architecture
Scope of Responsibilities inlcude:
* Collaborating with XXXXXX development partners in the design and
development of advanced vehicle drive, battery management and power
conversion systems.
* Designing, building, testing and validating hardware and software
prototypes to verify new product performance.
* Use of dynamometer and other multi-kilowatt tests along with knowledge
of validation and measurement equipment.
* Generating sales and marketing collateral such as data sheets,
application notes, and customer presentations.
* Providing technical insight, advice and direction to Sales, Marketing
and Business Management.
* Writing and presenting technical papers and design articles
highlighting new product performance.
* Document and patent essential Intellectual Property.
* Participating in regulatory and industry organizations.
Qualifications
Must have 10 or more years in the following areas:
* HIGH VOLTAGE power electronics (up to 1500VDC & AC) for motor control
and power conversion.
* High frequency DC/DC and DC/AC converter design, power magnetics,
circuit simulation, prototyping, power semiconductor applications and
application validation.
* Device level understanding of power semiconductors, covering IGBTs,
Freewheel diodes and Power MOSFETs in both silicon and compound
semiconductors.
* Comprehension of thermal design and modeling and the thermal/
mechanical requirements of high energy power semiconductors.
Good verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to write clear
documentation and specifications and be able to perform technical
presentations and demonstrations.
BSEE required, MSEE/PhD preferred. |
