Primary Location: US-TX-Austin-Parmer Lane (TX32)
Job: System Architecture
The responsibility of this position is to support all aspects of system
integration and assist customers in resolving issues that arise. The
candidate will be responsible to understand, promote, train and support
customer development/debug on their products. DSP applications engineers are
liaisons between customers and internal design teams, and therefore work
with Marketing to define new products and Design to make sure customer
requirements are being included in new technologies.
Qualifications:
The position requires interactions with cross functional teams, both
internal and external. The candidate must have outstanding communication
skills, be creative in problem solving, enjoy working on hands-on problems,
be team oriented, have flexibility in handling different priorities and be
able to travel domestically and internationally as needed to resolve
customer site issues.
The following behavioral skills are required:
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Able to clearly and effectively present ideas and document activities
- Able to clearly present information; able to influence or persuade others,
through technical presentation, in positive or negative circumstances.
- Able to use a systematic approach in solving problems through analysis of
problems and evaluation of alternate solutions; Able to take action in
solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of
issues.
- Able to communicate with others in a pleasant and helpful manner while
simultaneously building credibility and rapport.
The following technical skills and experience are required:
- Bachelor degree in EE, CE, CS or similar
- Proficiency in relevant software languages (C/Assembly)
- Real-time hardware/software development/debug experience
- Software and hardware integration experience
- Silicon validation testing
The following technical skills and experience are desired:
- DSP hardware architecture and system design
- Cellular protocol (LTE/UMTS) knowledge is strongly desired
- Data communication protocols (SRIO/PCIe/Ethernet) knowledge is desired
- DDR memory implementation and configuration
- Software development skills (compile, link, build, configuration
management)
The following technical skills and experience are considered advantages:
- Board design and manufacturing
- Product engineering methodologies
- Semiconductor design process |
