Data Center and Facilities Cooling Engineering Lead
Location: Illinois
Responsibilities:
• Identify new product opportunities, and propose conceptual
solutions.
• Assist in the design of data center products to maximize their
thermal efficiency.
• Develop product and technology roadmaps.
• Consult with major accounts to provide optimal designs for new
and existing data centers that yield maximum thermal efficiency.
• Direct state-of-the-art thermal lab activities that support and
enable the above.
• Represent company on relevant standards bodies.
• Interact with technical partners and customers as required.
Qualifications
• Must be expert in data center cooling systems and strategies,
from room level (CRAHs, CRACs, HACS, CACS, VEDs) to cooling plant level (
economizers, chillers, cooling towers, etc.).
• Facility cooling system knowledge a plus.
• Must have expert knowledge of cooling system sensors and controls
, and associated control strategies.
• Must possess knowledge of the state-of-the-art in data center
cooling (trends, issues, customer needs/wants).
• Bachelor’s/Master’s (Ph.D. would be a plus) degree in
Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities, or Industrial engineering required.
• Professional engineer (PE) and other relevant certifications
preferred.
• Affiliations with ASHRAE and AFCOM.
• Minimum ten years’ experience working in relevant cooling
systems area, with at least five years of recent experience in data center
cooling system area specifically. | b*****m
