大型销售公司的挨踢部门，系统主要是用PHP＋PostgresSQL数据库写成，内网下面
基于Web的报表账单出货进货查获等等，算自做自用的一个ERP。现在老板要加一些
新的查询功能，而且做成iPhone应用，顺便对使用多年的Web老系统优化改造。这些
环节我都掺和过，虽然不精，但是项目要求也不求精，就算边翻书边Google也能拿下。
问题在于上班后才发现，系统大到接近100万行源码，数据库也复杂到SQL schema
都有4万多行，当初开发的两个码工，一个已经彻底沦为DBA加救火队员，只能抽时间
给我答疑，另一个当了独立consultant不来上班了，旧系统没有开发文档和注释，项目
全靠我一个人，CEO让两个老码工给我讲了三天，准备再讲三天就开工，希望3个月后
可以有最初的一批功能上iPhone。我没干过工业项目，按学校做project的经验，直觉
这么大个东东，起码该有两三个人的开发团队，两三个月的学旧系统的时间才行。一个
员工几百销售过亿的公司，网管都有5、6个，却只雇一个人来搞开发，CEO是不是有点
无知者无畏？但我心里也没底，是不是自己没见过市面能力太弱了。有经验的大侠给说

should set reasonable expectation with your management, and if they insist
all the features or functionalities, ask for help (hire some experienced
people or contractor), maybe ask the 独立consultant come back part time?
The worst case scenario, if you don't speak up now, 3 months later you can
not show something working, they will make you as scape goat :-(
Obviously how to speak up now is also an art.

you need more help or something, set goals that achievable. |
