Location: Santa Monica, CA
Who Are We Looking For? Right now, we’re looking for a Data Analyst who
will work on data management, data analytics, data pipeline implementation,
quality control, and special adhoc projects. You will be utilizing the
latest technologies to solve challenging problems, create innovative
applications from the ground up and understand exactly what it takes to
create a reliable, satisfying experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
• Scale the Analytics and Research data center, keep the data
actionable, automate processes as well as build reports for senior and
executive management
• Collaborate closely with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to
improve data pipelines, support existing and new products
• Set up databases for A/B testing to analyze and optimize
marketing campaigns
• Liaise with our data partners to facilitate the integration of
their data
• Document key steps, procedures, results, and other relevant
information for analyses
• Execute ad hoc data analyses in response to business requests
• Work cross-functionally within the organization to deliver
integrated analytic solutions
Qualifications:
• Masters from a top-tier university in a quantitative field
• 3+ years’ experience in data analytics, statistical modeling,
and/or programmatic quality control
• Proven experience applying a strong analytical mindset and
quantitative approach to business and technical analysis delivering
successful solutions to challenging problems
• Solid understanding and experience with Big Data, Data
Warehousing, ETL, Data Analysis and presentation of data
• Experience with web analytics (preferred)
• Extensive experience in SAS, MSSQL, and MySQL (preferred)
• Ability to work on a Linux platform, write shell scripts,
automate jobs
• Statistical programming skills are a plus
• Python experience is a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Statistician / Data Mining Specialist

work on a wide range of projects from transaction price modeling,
forecasting, to multivariate testing and marketing analytics, utilize the
latest technologies to solve challenging problems, create innovative
applications from the ground up and understand exactly what it takes to
create a reliable Web experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
• Develop statistical models to predict vehicle pricing
• Track and analyze model parameters and estimates over time
• Construct forecasts of key industry metrics
• Create implementable design specifications for product
innovations
• Perform multivariate testing on website design
• Analyze and optimize search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns
• Work closely within a team of highly experienced, analytically
inclined professionals
• Execute ad hoc data analyses in response to business requests
• Work cross-functionally within the organization to deliver
integrated business intelligence solutions
Qualifications:
• Masters or Ph.D. in Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research
, Data Mining, or Biostatistics
• 5+ years’ experience in an analytics environment
• Strong SAS programming skills
• Experience with SQL (Proc SQL, Microsoft SQL Server 2008
Enterprise, or MySQL)
• Solid understanding and experience with processing large data
files to relational database, data warehouses, ETL, and data analysis
techniques
