- 基本工资方面，epic是小公司的150%
- 小公司除了标准的vacation，基本没有其他benefit
- 小公司用的技术比较跟得上时代，对今后发展可能更有利一些
- 小公司可能没有epic那么忙，而且也可以自由work from home
真的是非常纠结，大家帮帮忙看看应该怎么选啊？ |

Epic has been a very safe harbor.
Actually, they got their biggest jumps in employee numbers during the two
most difficult periods in US economy: the dotcom burst 01/02 and the bank
crash 08/09.
People who get 150K salary in Silicon Valley may be scoffing at Epic, but
when the next round of layoff come, who knows who will be at a better place.
If you get offer at FLAG, of course you won't need to consider Epic, but a
lot of people don't get offers there right out of school. Few years ago when
the economy was not as good, those big companies were not hiring. Many
talented people came to Epic, and when the economy got better, they left. So
you can't say it's always waste of time working at Epic.

But as you said, right now is pretty good market, why not give a better shot
? If you are fresh out of school, you have nothing to lose.

发帖数: 14021 | 16 Good or bad are relative, everyone's situation is unique. There are people
chose Epic over Google, as Epic's offers were better. There are people
worked at Epic for a few years, and then went to MS as a manager. So you can
't just assume FLAGM are always better than Epic, and going to Epic first
and then to FLAGM was a waste of time. Everyone takes the best offer on the
table.

这是Epic成功的原因之一，找到很多相当不错的人才。
不过写代码的职位还是要求至少工程学位的。文科生可以当Project manager 和 QA。
