of their costs go to stock based compensation. The higher their stocks go,
the higher that cost becomes. Those millionaires produced all have to be
accounted as expense for the company. That's why P/E means nothing for these
companies and wall street usually looks at adjusted earnings. It is not
like the company is actually paying anything for these stocks.

P**********c 发帖数: 3417 | 11 刚IPO的公司,stock就是给investor buy in的机会啊。哪有刚IPO就开始share
buyback的。对大部分公司来说,stock是应该计在expense里,否则公司可以只发stock
把R&D cost变成0. 但是对IPO成功的公司来说,他们发这些stock的时候根本不知道值
多少钱,同类型上市多年的公司不可能发相对等的stock, 这些股票已经出去了,当初
对公司来说就是paper money, 如果IPO胎死腹中就一钱不值的东西。后来反而价格冲
的越高算成公司cost就越高,就不太合理了。
