Here is the role for a solid JAVA developer with Hibernate for a client in
Downtown Seattle. 2 month Contract
Java Developer
Build a strong foundation for ultra-rich Web applications.
• Create object-oriented code within modern technological
frameworks
• Work with technologies such as Java, MVC, Spring, Hibernate,
Maven and MySQL
• Collaborate with team members and clients across different
locations
• Be proactive, be accountable, be flexible
• Responsibilities
• Design and implement middle-tier business objects and components,
as well as provide support to rich presentation layer development
• Perform unit tests
• Deploy projects to staging and production environments as needed
• Analyze and document software requirements
• Demonstrate an eagerness to learn about and advise on new
technologies
• Work closely with Interactive Developers and Information
Architects to fulfill the creative vision of the project
• Develop robust, high-performing, high quality, useful, innovative
solutions
• Suggest improvements for the technology department
• Qualifications
Requirements
• 4+ years of programming experience in a Java Web development
environment
• 2+ years of programming experience with MySQL and/or other open
source technologies.
• Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and Prototype
and with best practices related to web page markup (HTML, CSS) preferred
• Proficiency in most or all of the following methodologies and
practices: Design Patterns, Component-Based Design, Test-Driven Development,
Refactoring, and Service-Oriented Architecture
• Proficiency in release management and use of source control
systems, including Subversion
• Ability to collaborate effectively in teams and to communicate
technology issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Positive attitude with great follow through |
