Skill Set:
• Scripting language – Shell (required) and Python (nice to have)
• Familiarity or ability to learn to use Source Control tool (such
as GIT)
• Familiarity or ability to learn to use defect tracking tool (such
as ALM)
• Driven to automate as much as possible – automatic build release
• Trouble shoot and assess what caused a failure problem and bring
that back to engineering team.
• Good verbal and written communication skill
• Diligent and methodical
• Applies basic knowledge of the job skills and company policies
and procedures to complete a variety of assignments/tasks. Good
understanding of the general /technical aspects of the job. Works on
assignments that are routine to moderately complex in nature and require
basic problem resolution and independent judgment. Organizes own tasks and
receives general instructions on all work.
• Typically an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience and/or
1-2 years related experience. May include highly experienced individuals
performing entry-level equivalent work who are non-degreed in an unrelated
field.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Modify and own the build/ release scripts
• Responsible for the weekly official release (and creating all the
post release packages)
• Create/Update documentation pertaining to build/release/creating
update packages etc.
• Be the FW reflashing contact for the non-FW members (SW,
Marketing, CSat, etc.)
• Open/Close defects (CR’s) on behalf of FW Integration Leads and
Program Managers
• Assist with additional defect characterization as needed
• Maintain FW prototype unit library
• Perform ad-hoc and other testing as requested by the development
team
• Work closely with FW test leads (especially BAT, OOBE and FW
Update) and be setup to run quick tests
• Manage repository disk space
Work Hours:
• Typically in between 8-9 AM and out around 4-5 PM
• Might need early morning or late evening support on special
occasions and will come with prior notice |
