The Display Advertising Team is part of this revolution. We are looking for
world-class engineers who will build a large-scale sophisticated advertising
platform that deals with lots of big data and various signals to make
complex decisions in real-time. Our goal is to drive a huge volume of highly
targeted traffic to Groupon and help us achieve the highest ROI possible.
As part of the Display Advertising Team you will work on a high performance,
scalable infrastructure for creating, buying and delivering display ads.
You will design complex targeting and bidding algorithms by utilizing all
related variables in real-time bidding (RTB) environment. And you will
automate creative generation and campaign management, all while dealing with
huge amounts of big data to make data driven decision. To maximize ROI you
will need to build efficient A/B testing systems.
To qualify for this role we are looking for a person with:
At least 5 years of software development experience
B.S. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent
Expert proficiency in at least one dynamic scripting language (Coffeescript,
Ruby, Clojure, etc) and one compiled language (Java preferred)
Experience with frameworks like Node.js, Ruby on Rails etc
Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and big data technologies (Hadoop
, Storm etc)
Extensive experience with open source technology stacks, contribution to
open source projects is a plus
Familiarity with Agile development process, TDD/BDD, and *NIX development
environments
Experience in building display advertising system is a big plus |
