Located in Dulles, ABC is a terrific company, with “A” performers in a
close-knit team who have built a fantastic product that is utilized by over
1,000 customers.”
Role Description
ABC is Cloud-Based or On-Premise software that helps Project-Based
Organizations facilitate Budgeting & Planning, Resource Scheduling & Skills
Management, Time sheet and Expense Management, Billing and Revenue
Recognition, Social Collaboration, Project Management, Reporting, and
Dashboards.
ABC is seeking candidates to fill the full-time, exempt position of Business
Consultant. The Business Consultant will work with new and existing clients
to match their business needs with the capabilities of the Project
Portfolio product. A successful candidate will have experience in project or
portfolio management, consulting and implementing software solutions.
Candidate will have knowledge of both commercial and government accounting
practices.
In addition, the consultant will be responsible for providing pre-sales
support to ABC's Business Development team. The candidate must possess the
ability to collaborate with other members of the ABC professional services
team and interact with customers at all levels demonstrating the ability to
successfully deliver. This position will report to the Director of
Consulting Group Services.
Applicants must be authorized for non-sponsored employment in the US.
Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
Minimum of 5 years of business consulting experience
Degree in finance or at least 3 years of experience with government and
commercial accounting practices is required
CPA preferred
Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) is preferred
Specific experience using government accounting software such as Deltek,
Microsoft Dynamics and QuickBooks is preferred
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
Ability to interact with clients at all levels
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
Prior experience with the ABC product is desirable
Background Requirements
Education
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required.
Business Experience
Experience in accounting systems, project management and general consulting
services
Knowledge and understanding of consulting organizations, internal IT
organizations and advanced technology organizations
Strong understanding of project management processes
Corporate Experience
Strong interpersonal and team skills and desire to work in a dynamic and
fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written skills
High level of initiative to work alone or part of a team
Technical Experience
Experience with government accounting software
Proficient in Professional Services Automation Applications |
