We are currently seeking a Hardware Engineer to join our team.
The Hardware Engineering team designs include x86 PC-style architectures,
embedded DSP systems, leading-edge FPGA designs, and analog signal
conditioning solutions. Our current opening is a “hands-on” position that
will be part of a tightly knit team developing new products where
creativity, engineering expertise, and problem solving abilities are
critical. This is a senior position and the candidate is expected to
contribute to board design projects very quickly.
Requirements include:
BSEE or equivalent with 5-7 years of experience in the following areas:
• FPGA design work in VHDL and/or Verilog for chip-to-chip
communication, signal processing, compute acceleration and I/O interfaces
• Basic schematic capture including symbol creation, part selection
, circuit design, etc.
• Some experience with debug tools like logic analyzers, scopes, in
-target debuggers, etc, and the ability to find creative ways to debug
issues
• Software development of simple tools (e.g. bare metal testing) or
utilities for board design characterization and validation.
• Creation of documentation and other deliverables for transfer to
SW group
• Continuous improvement of board design process to increase
productivity and quality
Preferred experience in any of the following areas includes:
• Design experience utilizing recent Xilinx FPGAs and/or Altera (
including Xilinx Zynq)
• Familiar with x86 multi-core/multi-processor architectures or ARM
Cortex multi-core processor architectures
• Some experience with embedded single board computers running real
-time/embedded Linux
• Basic knowledge of Altium Designer, Altera Quartus, and/or Xilinx
ISE
• MATLAB/Simulink control system development and/or model
