1.作为F1身份的学生，去startup在身份上有些什么风险呢?哪天感觉公司苗头不好了如
果跳了的话正在办的H1B/绿卡会咋样呢？如果是措手不及地被裁了或者公司倒了又会咋
样呢？如果公司不是everify的又咋样呢？（据了解这样续不了opt，但是又有啥后果呢
...？）
2.除了angelist, crunchbase, alexa, app annie,还有啥方便了解startup的工具或者
网站呢，有法查询目前公司的估价吗？
3.如果公司目前有固定的商业伙伴（类似于oracle的数据库有稳定用户），已经开始盈
利，并且office也在国外扩张，是不是显得风险小一些呢？
4.关于公司的tech stack，请问下各位技术大牛觉得hadoop和mongodb会不会一两年之
内落后呢？楼主对这俩技术只有粗浅的应用和认识，只是心里老觉得postgresql啊
cassandra啊以及实时处理的storm samza才是时髦技术...
5.如果可以问公司问题，该问些什么关键的问题来辅助判断呢？

10k options means nothing. You MUST know what's the %, and here is the
concrete question you need to ask, word by word:
"What is the percentage out of the total number of fully diluted outstanding
stock shares am I getting?"
Keywords:

c. Fully diluted (this is fucking important, coz there could be many tricks
to play here).
Here's my opinion:
If the company < 50 people, the percentage you need is 0.1% and up.
If the company < 20 people, the percentage you need is 0.2% and up.
If the company < 10 people, the percentage you need is 0.3% and up.
If the company < 5 people, the percentage you need is 0.5 - 1%.
Don't bother to ask for more than 1% is you are not the first employee and
you are not the VP of Engineering.
If the company > 50 people, your percentage would probably be less than 0.1%
, in which case it's fair that they don't actively tell you that information
. But if I were you, I'd insist this information to be disclosed to me.
Otherwise, there is certainly something fishy about it and I would never
take such an offer (unless I am desperate).
About VC Funding
You should ask the funding situation directly. That
is usually public information. If they're unwilling to disclose, I would
take a step back and think about it.
Once knowing the funding situation, you may want to know the VC interest
rate. There's a term for it which I forget. Basically, if the company
exits, it needs to return the VC money before doing anything else. And
usually, the amount the VC needs in return is 1.5x - 3x of the money it
gives.
Yes, it is fucking insanely high. So for example, if a company is getting
100M in funding and the return rate is 2x, and the company exits for 200M,
then nobody is getting anything and the VC is getting everything. There are
such cases that I know.
Nontheless, all of the above is bullshit is you don't have another option to
take and this is your only offer. Take it. You're young and you can
always adjust your course.

一般不考虑走掉的人。但 我知道有的公司是流水的兵。如果一个不到五十人的公司已
经有重大的人事变更, 那就要考虑一下了。

to play here).
Here's my opinion:
If the company < 50 people, the percentage you need is 0.1% and up.
If the company < 20 people, the percentage you need is 0.2% and up.
If the company < 10 people, the percentage you need is 0.3% and up.
If the company < 5 people, the percentage you need is 0.5 - 1%.
Don't bother to ask for more than 1% is you are not the first employee and
you are not the VP of Engineering.
If the company > 50 people, your percentage would probably be less than 0.1%
, in which case it's fair that they don't actively tell you that information
. But if I were you, I'd insist this information to be disclosed to me.
Otherwise, there is certainly something fishy about it and I would never
take such an offer (unless I am desperate).
About VC Funding
