Job Description
Location: Mountain View, CA
Be part of the algorithm team creating next-generation sensor algorithms and
enabling future mobile wellness or fitness applications. We are looking for
experienced algorithm engineers or data scientists with working knowledge
of statistical signal processing, pattern recognition, and machine learning
along with strong mobile software programming skills. You will have
opportunities to use cutting edge technologies to solve the most challenging
problems in the area of mobile/wearable computing. This is an open and
dynamic working environment. We also consider intern candidates who must be
PhD students in the relevant area.
Responsibilities:
Process and analyze sensor signals like accelerometer, gyroscope,
magnetometer, pressure, infrared, light, GPS, WiFi, PPG etc.
Research and develop mobile sensing algorithms for human wellness and
fitness applications, such as step counting, activity recognition, location
sensing, sleep detection, heart rate monitoring, hand gesture recognition,
sports gait analysis etc.
Research and develop machine learning algorithms across a large number of
mobile users to perform pattern recognition and user behavior analysis, such
as sleeping quality analysis, significant location learning, common routes
mining etc.
Develop and implement algorithms into firmware and software, build the
prototype and demonstrate the algorithms' performance as a proof of concept.
Generate high-quality technical documents, such as algorithm design
specifications and invention reports.
Collaborate with other team members from system, hardware or software teams
to accomplish the product goals together.
Requirements:
Master degree or up is required.
3+ years' experience after graduation is desired.
Proficient in C/C++ and Java, experience with Python or MATLAB is preferred.
Hands-on experience in statistical signal processing, pattern recognition,
and machine learning is required.
Experience with Android/iOS application development is required.
Experience with big data platforms, such as Hadoop or Spark, is a plus.
Good oral and written communication skills, good team player.
