The H1B visa has been very destructive to the cultivation of home grown
talent. If you're not in tech land you have no idea how brutally US citizens
are discriminated against. Once the h1b staffing of a San Diego company
reaches a critical mass, they stop hiring US citizens because they don't fit
in with the Indian (see Oracle), or Chinese or Russian cultures.
