* Define and update system design, scope, and objectives based on
user needs.
* Work directly with developers to collaborate on software and
workflow design.
* Analyze, develop and write functional specifications for complex
application systems.
* Create or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering
computer equipment, system performance, and desired results.
* Perform manual testing during integration and negative impact
testing.
* Research and analyze application systems to develop an
understanding of internal and/or external customer business
requirements, resulting in the development of superior solutions to
customer needs for productivity, accuracy, and reliability.
* Track software defects. Update documentation of system revisions
and modifications.
* May prepare proposals, functional requirements, presentations, and
reports for existing and potential clients.
* May provide technical assistance to less experienced application
system analysts.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of related experience. Excellent
communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to work with business
analysts, customers, developers, and testers. Ability to handle multiple
projects simultaneously.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
* Knowledge of airline processes and procedures, particularly
traveler services.
* In depth knowledge of two or more Sabre functional areas. Pricing
and/or Ticketing experience preferred. Reservations and/or Departure
Control (ACS or ACSI) experience also useful.
* Working knowledge of the software product life cycle including
specifications, customer requirements gathering, software design and
development, testing (including unit, functional, systems, and
integration testing), implementation/delivery, and maintenance.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
* Working knowledge of the SabreSonic Interact application.
* Knowledge of software usability and human factors principles.
* Knowledge of Siebel for tracking customer logs.
