Job Title: Data Analyst
Job Description:
We are seeking a talented, motivated Operational Risk Management Data
Analyst responsible for working with issues, group notifiable events, and
internal loss data to provide comprehensive reporting and data analysis. The
analyst will work with various software tools, including Microsoft Access,
Excel, and PowerPoint. The analyst must understand the structures, usage and
sources of business data as well as the context in which it is utilized
throughout the business.
Responsibilities:
* Produce Operational Risk Management reporting and analysis using a
combination of tools including Microsoft Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Create and manage large PowerPoint presentations with embedded charts and
tables.
* Create standardized queries to collect and analyze data from various data
sources
* Fulfill ad-hoc reporting requests from various department managers.
* Analyze report results for data integrity and accuracy.
* Consistently analyze and interpret information to recognize changing
trends, patterns, and their meaning with regard to key performance
indicators.
Qualifications:
* Proficiency / advanced skills in using the Microsoft Office Suite of
products including Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) a plus
* Experience using database systems and SQL a plus
* Familiar working with databases and database management tools
* Strong analytical and data mining skills
* Good communication skills
* Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced
environment
