GENERAL SUMMARY:
The primary role of the IT DC Manager is to ensure that the company’s
regional datacenter runs continually and steadily. The IT DC Manager is
responsible for DC infrastructure facilities administration and security,
systems operation and maintenance, related IT projects deployment and
support to meet leading enterprise datacenter business requirements and
industry’s rules, IT vendor management, certain aspects of project
management and oversight of the support desk to ensure smooth sailing for
end users' day-to-day IT needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions
• Networking
Assists in the planning and implementation of additions,
deletions and major modifications to the DC network infrastructure.
Oversees the administration and maintenance of the DC's network,
and directs more junior Innovators when necessary.
Oversees the administration of the company's network platform
and application.
• Facilities
Manages and develops upgrades to the DC's infrastructure
facilities such as power supply system, environment monitoring system,
cooling system.
Comply with the company’s operation management rules.
• Internal Systems
Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and
disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
Works with project teams to help purchase/consignment and
implement Internal Systems.
• Internal client support
Internal users technical support
Office network/system troubleshooting
Help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely
manner.
• Asset Management
DC assets management
Equipments warranty management
JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities); (refers to job, not
incumbent): Refer to Competency and Leveling Chart.
Communication
• Speaking Chinese Mandarin and English
• Effectively communicates relevant IT-related information to
superiors.
• Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
• Relays relevant IT-related information to the company in a timely
manner.
Maintenance
• Performs a variety of activities related to the analysis,
installation, programming, application and troubleshooting of networking and
application systems in data center.
• Coordinates information and resources to assure proper and timely
installation, maintenance, modification and repair of network systems,
equipment and devices .
• Administers, evaluates and modifies network systems to assure
proper security and operation.
• Performs a variety of preventive security monitoring activities;
evaluates systems for unnecessary or unsafe activities and develops
solutions to avoid exposures;
• Identifies and corrects errors and performance flaws; performs
regular backups of operating systems to assure adequate network information
availability.
• Communicates with telecommunication operators, vendors, customers
and outside agencies to exchange information, coordinate activities and
resolve issues or concerns
• Configures, installs, operates and maintains network hardware,
appliances, software and related servers.

Skills and knowledge
• Strong background in planning, deploying and maintaining
enterprise IT platform and application, principles, practices and methods of
WAN/LAN networking including fiber-optic and copper cable systems, data
circuits, routers, switches, hubs, network operating systems, network
appliances, firewalls and security.
• Familiar with Windows, Unix and Linux operating system in the
Enterprise environment.
• Computer/network systems infrastructure requirements and
standards, security systems, applications, procedure and techniques.

Vendor Management
•
• Build and manages relevant vendors relationship
• Manage and renew equipments warranty on demand.
• Communicates effectively with vendors to identify service issue
and evaluate alternative business solutions.
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
Preferred: Master's degree in computer science or a related field
Certification/Licensure: CCNP/CCIE/ITIL Required
