Development team leader. This production-oriented engineering position
includes designing, implementing, and extending a backbone framework for
advanced security applications by integrating various technologies such as:
Web and mobile GUI applications
Video capture, analysis, archiving, and streaming (video
manipulation)
IP-based sensors and output devices
Custom drivers, third-party SDKs, and open source projects
Job duties include the design and implementation of scalable, fault-tolerant
, 24/7, production-grade security solutions, with an emphasis on functional
and reliable designs.
Required Skills:
Strong C++ programming skills- Reading comprehension of
existing code, troubleshooting/debugging for correction
Self-motivated and proactive
Creative and critical thinker
Able to function simultaneously as a lead developer him or
herself while also setting priorities and managing a small team of software
developers focusing on the design and development of multiple simultaneous
projects on tight deadlines
Reliable program development
Desired Skills: Video Application experience including the acquisition/
archiving of streaming video
Experience developing video manipulation and machine vision
applications
Cross-platform experience
Experience with large projects (millions of lines)
Experience with embedded scripting, networked, and modular
architectures
Experience with Open Source and Open Standards
